Jnanodaya Bethany School and PU College is a minority educational institution owned and managed by the Order of the Imitation of Christ (Bethany Fathers), a Malankara catholic religious congregation, found in 1987. Jnanodaya bethany English medium school, Nellyady, is one of the prestigious educational institution run and managed by Bethany Ashram. The school owes its origin to the far reaching educational vision of Servant of God Mar Ivanios OIC, popularly known as the Newman of the East and the founder of Bethany Ashram. Now it is a PU Composite College which has nearly 1200 students coming from uppinagadi, Sakleshpur, Hassan, Bangalore and other places of South Kannada.

THE SCHOOL AND ITS IDEALS
Jananodaya Bethany is a minority Educational Institution owned by the Order of the limitation of Christ (Bethany Ashram), a Malankara Catholic Religious Congregation. This institution is managed by Bethany Dharma Seva Sangam, a registered social service society. It offers the best academic training, providing excellence in mental, physical, cultural, moral and spiritual development of a child. It is the aim of Jnanodaya to develop in its fullest the strong personality traits in the students who are privileged to enjoy learning in this prestigious school. The School was established in 1987. It was recognized by the Government of Karnataka in 1988. This is one of the fully recognized English Medium Schools of the State. Admission to this school is open to all students. We wish no student of the area to be deprived of good education and English Medium Training just because he/ she is financially poor for which the school is having a scholarship programme for financially backward but academically forward students. Lack of self discipline and the unwillingness to face hardships seem to be the two serious defects in the growing generation of present day society. Being aware of this, the management and the staff of this school help the students to imbibe great values of life. The discipline in the School.
